Wheelchair users who are serious about their sporting activities often have their sport wheelchairs custom made for them.
Wheelchairs that are classified as ultra lightweight are available with weights as low as 13 lbs.
Wheelchairs designed for transporting disabled people ( e.g at airports ) are very basic and need to be pushed by someone.
